British Mk 2 A/P

This type of mine was widely used in the second World War and was based on the German “S” mine. It had various names such as “Jumping Jack” and “Bouncing Betty”

It had two charges and could be set off either by treading on it or by a trip wire. The first smaller charge threw the mine up to chest height and then the second larger charge spreadĀ  lethal fragments of metal out to 30yds or more.
