Ken Perkins was CSAF in 1975 who declared Dhofar clear of the insurgents and safe for developement. He wrote his appraisal of the war which is available at the PRO in Kew and is presented here under the Open Government Licence  *.pdf. 

The photograph above was taken by the webmaster when Ken Perkins was CO of 1st Regiment Royal Horse Artillery. The regiment was  awarded the Freedom of the City of Nottingham in 1967. The webmaster had the good fortune to be RMO at the time.
