The webmaster’s wife had arranged a beach holiday for the family soon after he had returned from Dhofar. The chosen spot was Caorle in Northern Italy. He was sought out on the beach and asked to make contact with the British Embassy in Rome to be told that the relatives of the airman who died had queried the cause of death and to confirm that he had indeed been electrocuted and that he had not died from some other cause such as enemy action.
