10 metres down this natural hole in the ground which leads to water that extends underground for miles. Pipes and pumps installed by the Royal Engineers replaced the 35 metre hauling up of water which has subsequently enabled surface storage, irrigation, and cattle watering.
The Queen of Sheba is reputed to have used this location as have caravans of travellers for centuries.
